Cottage Check-in Building

Jacuzzi for Cottage 2-5 guests

Our cottages are decorated in a cozy clean style described as "Northwest Scandinavian". Each bright and colorful cottage is furnished with a plush queen-size bed, fireplace, bathroom, kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, sink and refrigerator, front porch and rear deck. A charcoal barbeque is conveniently located for cottage guests. A relaxing, private jacuzzi is nearby among the fragrant cedars (see Site Plan). A light breakfast is provided in your cottage with coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, biscotti and chocolates.

Parking for Cottages 2-5 is in a separate location to avoid noise and headlights at the cottages.  Wagons are supplied to move your luggage down a gravel path to your cottage. (See Siteplan).

For the comfort of our guests we do not accept: children under 14, RV's or electronic music.

Due to so many guest requests we now accept one dog in Cottage 4 as well as Campsites 5 and 13.  Your dog must be on a leash while on the property and stay off the bed and furniture.  If there is extra cleaning or damage incurred your credit card will be charged.

COTTAGE 1 for that extra special occasion. In addition to the above, Cottage 1 is larger and has been upgraded to a king size bed, and has its own jacuzzi, charcoal barbeque, hammock and separate parking and entrance. (see Site Plan).

  1. The Cottages are designed for 1 or 2 adult guests. We will bring in a twin bed with 6" memory foam mattress for a third guest for $25 per night.
  2. The cottages do not have a cooking range. They do have a microwave, sink, refrigerator, dishes and utensils. Cottage 5 has a two-burner cooktop.
  3. Charcoal, lighter fluid and ice are available one mile away at the Village Market.
  4. There is a two night minimum for Tour de Lopez (last weekend in April), Memorial Day, Labor Day and July 4th.
  5. Wi-Fi is available at our Cottages and most anywhere on our property. Connection info will be on your guest check-in sheet on the bulletin board in the guest check-in building.
  6. It is not necessary to bring personal drinking water. Our well water is Washington State approved and lab tested 5 times a year.
  7. Village Cycles provides free delivery and pick-up of your bicycle rental to Lopez Farm Cottages.  Contact Michael & Heidi at and have your bicycle waiting for you when you arrive.  They also offer bicycle drop off and/or pick-up at the ferry landing for a $5 fee each way.
  8. Check out Lopez Island Vineyards for wine tasting hours and Outer Island Excursions for whale watching trips.
  9. Ferry reservations are highly recommended. You can make ferry reservations from Anacortes to Lopez Island. For additional information and to make your ferry reservation go to:

Cottage Terms

  1. Self Check-In: Guest check-in is at the white Cottage check-in kiosk (pictured below). Guest check–out is 11 am. As soon as a cottage is clean and ready for occupancy your check-in sheet is posted on the bulletin board and your key is hanging on the key board. We typically have cottages ready by 2pm.

    WHY Self Check-in / Self Check-out?

When our first cottages opened in May of 1996 arriving guests would call us from the Check-in Building so we could personally greet and direct them to their cottage.

We found that most guests preferred immediate access to their cottage rather than wait for a personalized greeting. Thus our Self Check-In / Self Check-Out system came about. John and Cathie live in the Farmhouse. We welcome you and hope we get the opportunity to see you during your stay with us.

  2. Guest Storage: Guests are welcome to leave their car in a parking area so they can bicycle or hike prior to actual check in. Guests arriving on bicycles can store their bags and packs in our small Guest Storage Shed behind the Service Building (see our Site Plan).
  3. Self Check-out time is no later than 11 am.
  4. Payment: At the time we confirm your reservation we charge your credit card for your entire stay.  We do not accept checks or cash.
  5. Cancellation Policy:
    1. If you cancel more than 14 days prior to your stay you will be reimbursed 90% of your payment.
    2. If you cancel any portion of your reservation within 14 days prior to your stay, you will be responsible for your full reservation.  If we are able to re-book your night(s) we will reimburse your credit card 90% of all charges re-booked.
  6. For cancellations or other inquiries please email us at
  7. For the quiet and comfort of our guests: minimum age is 14 (with the exception of infants under 1 year in Cottage 1 only); No smoking. A dog is allowed in Cottage 4 and Campsites 5 and 13.
